About Lori Beth
From the very beginning of Arts North College, Lori Beth has been involved heavily with its journey. Working alongside Annie to design and create the models for both the BTEC and the North East’s Original 1-Year Intensive in Musical Theatre programmes, both setting out to shape a training model that has transformed opportunities for aspiring performers in the North East.
As BTEC Course Lead at Arts North Studios, Lori Beth oversees all academic practice alongside the (OFSTED Outstanding) Sunderland College partnership, ensuring the highest standards in teaching, learning, and student achievement. She brings her expertise and energy to every aspect of college life – from teaching BTEC Qualification, Jazz Technique, Tap, and Audition Preparation, to serving as Lead Choreographer for Arts North productions (Previously – Footloose, Legally Blonde, The Addams Family, Grease, Matilda) across both the college and the academy. She also choreographs and creatively stages bespoke elements for marketing videos, music videos for professionals, and works with brands to produce promotional footage, as well as choreographing off-site production opportunities for students. She also takes on key pastoral roles as Safeguarding Officer and Student Support Lead, ensuring every student feels supported throughout college life.
A NCDTA Qualified Associate Teacher and Musical Theatre Degree graduate, Lori Beth’s choreography has helped Arts North students achieve a 100% success rate in drama school audition dances. With years of further education experience, she’s passionate about ensuring the highest quality of education, creating new material, mentoring young professionals, and championing the values that make Arts North so special.
