About Annie

Annie Guy trained at the prestigious Arts Educational Schools London and is now the proud Principal of Arts North Studios, a college and weekend performing arts school based in the North East.

As a performer, creative, and educator, Annie’s career spans theatre, film, and television, with extensive experience both on stage and behind the scenes. She recently served as Associate Director on Burlesque the Musical (London workshop) and as Assistant/Resident Director and Choreographer for Bonnie and Clyde in the West End at the Garrick Theatre. She was also Associate Director and Choreographer for Michael Ball & Alfie Boe: Together at Christmas, which toured major UK arenas including the O2 Arena, Birmingham, Newcastle, and Manchester.

Annie was part of the original West End cast of Bonnie and Clyde, where she performed as Resident Choreographer, Dance Captain, Swing, and covered both Bonnie and Blanche – a performance that earned her a BroadwayWorld Award nomination for Best Understudy. Other West End credits include the Bonnie & Clyde Concert at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, where she appeared as Swing, and Hairspray at the London Coliseum, where she covered Amber and Penny as well as performing as Swing.

Her extensive theatre work also includes Miss Dorothy in Thoroughly Modern Millie (International & Canadian Tour), Ensemble/Cover Flannery in the UK Tour of Thoroughly Modern Millie, Cover Maria/Rosalia in West Side Story(Kilworth House), Rosie/Ensemble in Sweet Charity (Cadogan Hall), Ensemble/Understudy Cathy Cratchett in Scrooge (UK Tour), Ensemble in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (UK Tour), and Solo Singer for Dublin Worldwide Productions touring the USA and Canada. Her pantomime credits include Belle in Beauty and the Beast and Snow White in Snow White.

Annie’s screen work includes leading roles as Jane in CBBC’s DIXI 4 and Dawn in The Grand for SKY1, as well as appearances in Breathe (Pinewood Studios) and Gypsy Kiss.

While training at ArtsEd, she played Hope Cladwell in Urinetown, appeared in Bells Are Ringing, and starred as Elle Woods in Legally Blonde. Her concert credits include solo performances at the Olivier Awards, What’s On Stage Awards, and the Royal Albert Hall D-Day Concert, as well as An Evening with Georgia Stitt at the Garrick Theatre.

A passionate advocate for arts education, Annie regularly leads workshops and masterclasses at top institutions, including ArtsEd, and works as a judge for West End Calling, helping to mentor and discover the next generation of musical theatre talent.

As Principal of Arts North Studios, Annie continues to inspire and develop young performers, offering professional-level training in a creative, supportive, and industry-focused environment. Her leadership and dedication have been recognised nationally – she was nominated and shortlisted in the final four for “Entrepreneur of the Year” at the Educate North Awards.
